# Rule No. 43 Vacations

<div class="rbox Normal-Level" id="bkmrk-council-may-direct-t"><div><div>Council may direct the time and duration of its vacation period provided that such vacation period does not violate the provisions of Article [IV](https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/sheffieldlake/latest/sheffieldlake_oh/0-0-0-2066#JD_artiv), Section [8](https://codelibrary.amlegal.com/codes/sheffieldlake/latest/sheffieldlake_oh/0-0-0-2104#JD_artivsec8) of the Charter, that states that Council may provide for one vacation in any calendar year without a regular Council meeting, not to exceed a period of thirty (30) continuous days.</div></div></div><div class="clearfix" id="bkmrk-">
