Rule No. 18 Order of Business

Unless changed by the Council President, business of all regular meetings of Council shall be transacted in the following order:

   (1)   Call to order.

   (2)   Invocation.

   (3)   Pledge of Allegiance.

   (4)   Roll call.

   (5)   Reading and disposal of the journal.

   (6)   Reading, referral or filing of communications.

   (7)   Report of the Director of Finance.

   (8)   Report of the Treasure.

   (9)   Reports of standing committees.

   (10)   Reports of special committees.

   (11)   Report of the Mayor.

   (12)   Reports of the directors.

   (13)   Comments from citizens.

   (14)   Unfinished business.

   (15)   New business.

   (16)   Reading and passage of resolutions, ordinances and measures, both emergency and otherwise. (Ord. 86-02. Passed 12-30-02.)
